Hickory, NC- (May 21,2019) Josh Kossek has been dreaming about last Saturday night since the first time he sat in his family owned No. 44 Limited Late Model late in the 2017 racing season. The 15-year old Tobaccoville, NC native wanted to be able to win at the famed Hickory Motor Speedway and in his rookie season in 2018 he had flashes of brilliance but never got the opportunity to share victory lane with his family.
My name is Josh Kossek and for as long as I can remember I have always wanted to be a professional race car driver. I live in a town twenty minutes north of Winston-Salem, North Carolina called Tobaccoville.
My Dad bought me a go kart and we just started racing as a family and that’s all we do on weekends…and nights in the shop. I have been lucky to win in every type of race car and my early days in go karts we won a lot. It made me want to go faster so we moved onto Bandoleros in 2013
